E-learning rumen protected fatty acids
Rumen protected fatty acids are still unknown territory for many livestock farmers and feed consultants. Market research showed that there was a need for more knowledge about feeding fats. What are they, what happens in the cow and which fatty acids do you use for which purpose? With these insights, we went to work for Megalac.
Conveying a complex story
What are the benefits of rumen protected fatty acids? How much fat does a cow need? There is a lot to be learned about rumen protected fatty acids. The challenge for Megalac was to get livestock farmers to absorb the sometimes quite technical topics in an approachable and playful way.
Learning about rumen protected fatty acids
What tool do you use when you want your target group to see the added value of a product? In this case, we opted for an e-learning. The complex story about rumen protected fatty acids lent itself well to this, as the e-learning leads you step by step through the components. The contents are cut into pieces in a playful way.
The implementation
Interactive storytelling
Good e-learning starts with the right story structure. Using wireframes, we chose four chapters, placed in a logical order. To make the e-learning interactive, we convert some information into quizzes or a mini-game.
The result
Beautiful, educational e-learning
We turned the story into a beautiful, educational e-learning. With practical tips, understandable language and informative visualizations, the e-learning helps livestock farmers and feed advisors consider adding rumen-resistant fatty acids to the ration.
